Our slides are stored in boxes in a local storage place, probably 15 trays per box. I'm done with the first box, this is the last shot I scanned from that group of slides. Just a tease, on to the second box of slides.

Jessica - Aug. 1975
Here's my first shot of Jessie.
A New Year's visit shot in December 1975. Jezebel gets her first sniff. This nice Amish man was visiting. Perhaps delivering an electric heater fireplace. Wish I knew more about him, he appears in my pictures from time to time...did Karyl and he have something going on the side?

Jezebel - 1975
Dogs have been a valued member of both of our families, and the memories are still very vivid in each case. Jezebel lived up to her name. Good with kids, cute, and a very paranoid about being left alone, she could be a holy terror. She chewed up several beds plus the bathroom on Lafayette. An adorable puppy, she was good training for what was to come with kids. This first shot is one of my favorite shots. I was sitting in a bean bag, and she got up on my knees to see what was going on. Unusually I had a camera and not a martini. She was as surprised as I was.
Macy and Jezebel had a special bond...until Scott came along, then she was very aloof for awhile. More on that down the line.
Jezebel loved Karyl, always got excited when we visited. Like I said, good training for kids.

Glacier - Backpacking Aug. 1974
Glacier is a hiker's dream. This was our last backpacking trip. If you look at the second picture you can spot one of the reasons why...see it?

Glacier National Park - 8/74
Glacier is our favorite National Park. Our love of mountains, hikes, and memorable camping/lodge trips make it special. Doug and I were there in September of 1968 for a great backpacking adventure. Just one year after the "Night of the Grizzlies", a PBS special we watched just last night, reconstructing the death of two campers, miles apart, by da bears.
Ignore that, we returned to Glacier in 1974, Karyl, Macy, Doug, Jack, and Ken Arnold for a great adventure. We started a tradition of great "gag" shots. This was also the trip I tried to celebrate my birthday in the grand environs of East Glacier Lodge with a memorable martini. Given the high elevation drive back to the campground, Macy shot it down. First the gag shots...

The cards had images of "questionable beauties". I can only assume Karyl brought those. Ken was obviously three sheets to the wind.
I have no idea what the "theme" of this shot was. Use your imagination.
No imagination needed here.

Macy and Jack Honeymoon - Yellowstone 9/73
Our honeymoon was a camping trip to Yellowstone in September (yes we had snow). We also had Karyl, Doug, Dan Smith, Pat & Ken Arnold along as well. We had a great time, and it was really the kick off event to the many great vacations/trips we've had through the years.
This shot is one of my favorites, probably along with my one of Jezebel as a puppy which I will share later. The subject was perfect, the setting perfect, and the composition and lighting work. Plus it's a slide, so for us amateurs it was one shot to get it right.
At the campfire.
